When Deflow designed the 5 Piece Traction, it wasn't looking to add pieces just for the sake of it. It aimed to take the philosophy of the 2 Piece—direct feel, mostly smooth surface, free fit—to the highest possible level of coverage and precision. The result is the pad with the most pieces in Deflow's Premium range: five independent pieces, wider and larger than the 2 Piece, with a 5 mm center arch for exact foot positioning and a line pattern only where pressure demands it. WHY THIS GRIP MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
The 5 Piece Traction isn't simply "more pieces than the 4 Piece." It adds the 5 mm center arch that the 4 Piece lacks, becoming the pad that combines the maximum coverage of the range with the structural support the demanding surfer needs in serious wave conditions:

USE AND CARE
- Surface preparation — Clean and dry the board's tail completely. Remove any wax residue with a specific remover and let dry for at least 30 minutes.
- Positioning — Place the five pieces dry before applying. With five pieces, prior planning is essential: distribute the pieces so that the tail coverage is complete and symmetrical. The kick should be aligned with the edge of the tail.
- Application — Remove the paper from the 3M adhesive piece by piece, starting with the center piece with the arch. Press firmly from the center toward the edges without leaving air bubbles. Repeat with the side pieces in order.
- Curing time — Wait at least 24 hours before your first session to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Care and maintenance — Rinse with fresh water after each session. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Do not use harsh solvents for cleaning.
