The 8 mm arch on the Toyon Pad is calibrated so your foot feels it without forcing your stance. If you're coming from flat grips or low-arch pads, you'll notice the difference in your first few turns: more reference under your foot, more confidence to lay it on the rail. The 25 mm kick with a 40° angle is generous but controlled — it won't launch your foot upward during takeoff. For boards with wide tails (fish, swallow), we recommend slightly separating the side pieces to improve the fit.

HOW TO USE AND CARE

• Board cleaning — Before applying, clean the tail area well with isopropyl alcohol. Remove any wax residue, dirt, or moisture. The surface must be completely dry.
• Positioning — Place the pieces without peeling the backing first to confirm the ideal position. Keep the leash plug and distance to the tail in mind as a reference. Mark the position with painter's tape if necessary.
• Application — Peel off the 3M backing and press each piece firmly for at least 30 seconds. Let it rest for 24 hours before your first session to ensure the adhesive cures correctly.
• Maintenance — Rinse with fresh water after each session. Avoid cleaning with solvents, which can degrade the EVA or the adhesive.
• Storage — Keep your board in a place without prolonged direct sun exposure. Extreme heat can compromise the adhesive over time.
