WHY THIS SUIT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Most wetsuits are still made with fossil-fuel-based rubber. Patagonia's Regulator 4/3 replaces that material with 85% Yulex® natural rubber and 15% synthetic rubber, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) through Preferred by Nature™. The result is a suit that is just as stretchy and warm, but with a much lower environmental impact. Added to this is a NetPlus® interior lining, made from recycled nylon sourced from fishing nets recovered from the ocean: a first in the wetsuit industry.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

• Main material — 85% Yulex® natural rubber and 15% chlorine-free synthetic rubber, 4mm in the torso (3mm in the arms), FSC® certified through Preferred by Nature™
• NetPlus® interior lining — Post-consumer recycled nylon sourced from fishing nets, high-stretch fabric in the arms and lower body
• Exterior — 87% recycled NetPlus® nylon and 13% elastane, water-free solution dyeing
• U-zip entry — YKK® #5 coiled elastic zipper with long pull cord, a design that makes the suit easier to put on and reduces water entry
• Sealed seams — Three layers of solvent-free AquaA® glue, blind-stitched and reinforced with elastic seam tape
• Cuffs and ankles — External rubber gaskets that seal out water while paddling or wiping out
• Recommended temperature range — Waters from 10 to 15 °C
• Fit — Formfitting, tailored to the body to follow every movement

USE AND CARE

Rinse the suit with fresh water after every session and hang it in the shade until it is completely dry. Hand wash, never use bleach, do not put it in the dryer or iron, and avoid dry cleaning. Always air dry, without wringing the fabric, to avoid damaging the seams and the Yulex® natural rubber.
